September, October Astronomy Nights
The next Astronomy Night for the Donna O’Neill Land Conservancy will be on Saturday, September 20, 2008, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. Jupiter should be quite prominent along with all of the Summer and Fall constellations. The October Astronomy Night will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 7 to 9 PM.
The conservancy is located just off Ortega Highway, five miles inland from Interstate 5. (Exit from the 5 at the Ortega Highway. Go east 5.1 miles towards Caspers Park and Cleveland National Forest. When you reach the turning point (which is 2.5 miles east of Antonio Parkway), you will see a green and white sign to your right. It reads, “RANCHO MISSION VIEJO” followed by “Campo Amantes, Carmeuse Sands 31302, and Cristianitos Corrals.” Turn right and drive in about 1/2 mile.
